First and foremost, the purpose of the Adelaide Jaguars is to facilitate junior development.

It is our intention to, in so far as it is practicable, keep in touch with the ever changing trends in football coaching and apply the latest methods to our techniques.

We will endeavour to make our teams as competitive as possible, but our focus will not be on winning,  rather playing to the best of our ability in our quest to create fluent, skillful and entertaining football.

We will not remonstrate with players when mistakes are made. Instead we grant them the right to make those mistakes, as experience has been proven to be the best teacher. We forbid players from remonstrating with each other as it is not conducive to maintaining the team spirit and individual self-esteem.

Whilst we all enjoy winning a game, parents are asked to place the emphasis on the positive aspects of their children's play and avoid comments such as "We've got to win this" and "Well, did you win?"

We do not believe in punishing players or punishing the team for the transgression of one or two team members.

Consistently disruptive team members, however, may be asked to sit out part or all of a training session, or in severe cases, a game.

We are strongly opposed to team-stacking, regardless of what other clubs are doing.

We believe in playing on merit and demonstrating faith in our players.
